Clients work directly with senior leadership from the first conversation through delivery. We do not hand engagements down to junior staff after the sale.
Our reporting platform does the repetitive work of collecting, reconciling and organizing data, so our time goes to analysis and decisions. When an engagement needs tax, legal or deep technical expertise, we bring in partners we trust and coordinate the work on the client's behalf.
LEADERSHIP
Jason Cannaday
Jason founded Ledger & Oak in 2025 after more than 18 years of leadership in healthcare finance. He is a service-disabled U.S. Army veteran who served from 2003 to 2007, including a deployment with Operation Iraqi Freedom III.
He began his career at University Medical Center in Lubbock, where he rose to Senior Financial Analyst and helped build the Decision Support team. There he implemented multiple Decision Support platforms covering flex budgeting and variance analysis, capital budgeting, productivity, benchmarking and payor contract modeling, and he built net revenue models from commercial reimbursement contracts.
From 2016 to 2025 he served as Chief Financial Officer of StarCare Specialty Health System, leading a team that included finance, accounting, grant management, purchasing and information technology, and upgrading the organization's infrastructure to produce meaningful data insights and custom reporting.
Jason holds a BBA in Finance and an MS in Finance from Texas Tech University.
